Methow River 2-Day Overnight River Rafting Trip
Class II - IV Whitewater :: Easy to Moderate :: Ages 12 +
Monstrous waves :: Sunshine :: Black Canyon rapids :: 2-Day, Overnight

Our 2-day Methow River trip begins in Twisp, Washington, and concludes at the confluence of the Methow and Columbia Rivers. Your journey starts out calm and gentle with easy Class II riffles from the launch site to our overnight camp on a ponderosa pine studded island. During the mellow first-half of the trip, we might encounter Canada geese, osprey, redtail hawks, signs of beaver, common mergansers and the occasional golden eagle. Sleep under the stars or comfortably inside your tent, while listening to the calming white noise of the Methow River gliding by. On our second day, the binoculars will have to be put away, because when the whitewater arrives, it literally comes at you in waves, starting with the renowned Black Canyon Rapids and the notorious monster wave known as 'The Black Hole'. After that, there are a string of consecutive smile-inducing Class III whitewater rapids that carry you all the way to the boat ramp in Pateros, Washington. A Methow 2-day River trip is ideal for families with kids older than 12 years of age and groups of all types of experience. The Methow River is best from mid-May to mid-June and the trip includes all meals from lunch on Day One through lunch on Day Two, all necessary river gear (pfds, riverbags, safety equipment, etc), tents upon request, wetsuits and boots and a courtesy shuttle at the river.
