METHOW RIVER - CHELAN

Wenatchee's Lesser Traveled 'Sister' River

The Methow River has Washington's biggest, most plentiful and power waves when the spring runoff arrives. The big, towering waves have made the Methow River a rafting guide's favorite place to be when the water is flowing. With the Methow River, you get a 16-miles, Class II-IV river trip that starts off teasingly and closes with a rush. In just a few miles, you have rapids with colorful names like Oh, Sh*t, Cape Canaveral, Another Roadside Attraction, Zero Hour, Staircase, and Black Canyon. It's an excellent river for veterans as well as physically-fit-first-timers. It is also an excellent river to combine with the Wenatchee River for a full weekend or two days following the Cascade Loop over both Stevens and Washington passes. Ask us about these custom 2-day trips, or add a third day and river raft the Sauk, Skagit, or Skykomish River, depending on your groups' abilities and qualifications.
