5-DAY DESCHUTES RIVER ADVENTURE
Starting at $795 per person ($650 per child, 12 and under)
Minimum: 8 people Maximum: 12 people
A Deschutes trip is the best overnight family rafting trip in the Pacific Northwest. An overnight rafting trip on the Deschutes River offers rapids, fishing opportunities, family fun, hiking, swimming, adventure, and more. The Deschutes River flows north toward the Columbia River from Warm Springs, Oregon to Heritage Landing State Park --- almost 100 miles of free flowing water.
It takes time to fully unplug and tap into the rhythm of river life. Five days on the Deschutes will surely get you and your party in tune with the natural environment, waking with the morning sun and sleeping under the moon and stars. Not only will you have time to enjoy our favorite on-water and camp activities, you'll also be able to experience one of the most magical features of a rafting expedition, the layover day. This is a day that you can sleep in, sip on coffee until noon, eat three breakfasts, and not need to pack up a thing. There are a handful of different camps to spend your layover at, and they are all boasting in beauty and opportunities to do river and land based activities. So enjoy a later night, a restful morning, and feel yourself become one with the flow.
An overnight river rafting trip with Orion Expeditions includes all meals from lunch on the very first day through lunch on the last day, professional guides, camping gear (with the exception of sleeping bags), a courtesy shuttle arranged at the river, and all necessary river gear. When you are not challenging the whitewater rapids in a paddle raft, you can hike, fish, swim, float the rapids in your lifejacket, or just relax in camp --- sipping your favorite beverage, contemplating the high desert scenery while reading a book.
Specialty river trips available upon request. The Deschutes is perfect for bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, wine tasting, youth groups and meditative retreats. Groups of 8 or more.
